Like other drawings in his sketchbook collection inspired by a place or thing within the Memphis community, this drawing was inspired by the colors he used in the realistic painting of one of Memphis' legendary hangouts, The Blue Monkey restaurant. A realistic painting of this drawing was also commissioned by the Memphis Convention and Visitors Bureau.
